This day two years ago.
Fourteen-year-old Madison’s coming of age ceremony at the Windsor Potlatch in Bella Bella. Her aunties Ruby, Turza, Jana and Fran (her hbúkv) stand behind her. Gifts to aid her journey are in front of her. Her face is hidden behind the cedar hat until near the end of the ceremony when the hat is lifted.
This day four years ago.
Three-year-old Weston and twelve-year-old Madi play with friends at Hoffman’s beach in Bella Bella during our summer visit.
